I recommend reading this site here as it helps with problems with Premium Content items Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it? Or backing up/renaming your The Sims 3 folder and installing only the Chicken Coop/Set and seeing if it is showing properly? This sounds like something has gone wrong with your CCMerged package.
